The Patriots Are Back, the Chargers Are Done, and More Week 4 Story Lines

PelisseroIt's weird because

KapadiaWill Anderson, I think, has maybe been the best defensive player in football this year. Like he is making an impact. He is doing everything in his power to get that defense going. And there are stretches where you watch them and you're like, okay, this is the defense we thought they were going to be.

KapadiaBut to your point, they're not closing these games. And overall, if you just, you know, look at EPA, or whatever. They're 25th in EPA. Now, part of this is they've gone up against Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, and Dak Prescott in three or four games where I know they should be able to perform better against those guys, but that is a tough group.

KapadiaIf you're just naming the top 10 quarterbacks in the NFL this season, all three of those guys are going to be in there. And then part of it, I hate to use this as analysis because it's like, Sheil, we're paying you. It should be a little bit better than they're getting a little unlucky, but I think they're getting a little unlucky.

KapadiaI mean, week one, Josh Allen is chucking that ball to Kamari Lassiter in the end zone. He drops the ball. Like if that play happens 10 times, I don't know. Is he catching it at least six or seven times? Probably. And he doesn't catch it there. That could be a win there. And even this last game, I mean, they had some calls go up.

KapadiaLassiter has not had a great season. He's been one of the better corners in the NFL, but he had some calls not go his way on that final drive where the Cowboys had it. So these are all reasons why I'm like, you know what? I don't think they're that far away. I totally agree with Tom's point about Nico Collins.

KapadiaHe is just, he just totally changes what their offense should actually look like. So it's not the hardest schedule going forward. I was looking at it. I think they need to go 10 and three, which seems like a big ask for an 0 and 4 team.
