- The Lions probably add a veteran running back by Monday's practice.
Gibbs had 56 touches in five days and the Lions' RB2 has three carries.
“by the time the Lions are back on the practice field Monday, they'll have another veteran back on the roster”
The Lions' transaction log shows only a DB (Jalen Mills) signed to the practice squad on 9/21 and no RB signing in the window. The Roydell Williams signing was Aug 24, and he is a rookie with no NFL games. Hunt was not signed.

LionsIn context
Pelisserocan you name the backup running back on
Pelisserothe lines It's Pacheco who's in the hospital. Right.
Sione
PelisseroVaki is the number two running back who has three carries total over two games. I don't know this for sure, but I would give you an educated guess, Bill, that by the time the Lions are back on the practice field Monday, they'll have another veteran back on the roster. They had Kareem Hunt in for a visit recently.
PelisseroWho's available?
PelisseroJohn Dorsey, who drafted him in Kansas City, is now in Detroit.
PelisseroThat would be a logical guy that would fit in. There's some other veteran running backs out there. I would be willing to bet you, they know as well as anybody, that's not sustainable. I mean, 17 -game season, average 30 touches a game, that's hard to do, which is also why, like I said, Kenneth Walker, I don't know that you want to do that, especially early in the season at quite that clip.
