KapadiaSo that's tough. Yeah. They've had a lot of good offenses, but they've had some bad offenses. They've had some injuries. This is the bar we're talking about. That's the point I'm trying to get across. I'm not, I'm not hand -waving the injuries, the new scheme and saying it's easy and they should be top 10.
KapadiaIt's like, you're kind of just asking them to not be one of the worst offenses in the NFL at this point. Like if he can be like 23rd or something where it's like, it doesn't always look pretty. It's not great. That would be a big win for them right now. But it's like the run game stinks.
KapadiaThe under center play action, that stinks. They're 31st in success rate when they run under center play action. You're not really marrying the run in the past.
KapadiaYou know, their stuff schematically. So I do think if you're someone who's like this, you don't need to give Sean Mannion the benefit of the doubt. It's just possible that they took a chance on a young coach with upside. They struck out and he's in completely over his head. That's possible. I'm not quite there yet because of the circumstances.
KapadiaI do think let's give them a bigger sample and see what this looks like when you get guys a little bit healthier.
KapadiaBut, yeah, the signs, I mean, I don't think anyone can paint it that the signs have been positive through the first five weeks here. So Jalen Hurts, let's talk about him specifically. This was a 43rd percentile game EPA, 16th percentile success rate. I think you can, it's not going to be an efficient passing game where they're just down to down.
KapadiaThis looks great. I think you have to hunt explosives and avoid negative plays. Easier said than done. But we talked about that last week. Jalen Hurts has shown in the past he's that type of quarterback. I remember when I covered the Seahawks, that's like how they wanted Russell Wilson to play. And it sounded so simple when Pete Carroll would say it.
