Syedthe blocking just kind of deteriorates. And so it feels like in the second half of games, teams are saying, oh yeah, we can just plug with the linebacker, we're going to cause you issues, and be able to create those problems over and over again. So that is something where it could just be like, hey, I'm not going to say that we're unscouted looks, but it's like this situation from the defense is not what it was like drawn on paper.

SyedWe're not adjusting to that quick enough or kind of have something to make them wrong or able to win that one -on -one type situation. So that is something that I feel like I'm going to continue to monitor where, again, the first half offense, it's like we're not going to set the world on fire, but you're good enough -ish.

SyedYou're average enough. You're able to take a lead when the defense is playing really, really well. But then in the second half, it is just really a nothing burger. So that's, I think, something we absolutely have to continue to monitor. I mean, teams look at it in the second half and say, we can just blitz you.

SyedAnd you can't stay unscouted anymore. You just can't because every team is going to blitz the same exact way. And this was interesting in this week. There was one time I didn't watch all of it on the original broadcast, but like you hear Hertz. When Hertz is saying flipper at quarterback, I'm pretty sure that that means he's flipping the protection.

SyedThe Shanahan Tree guys, they all use flipper in that sort of way. So it's like, all right, well, he is clearly involved in this, right? Like teams are going to continue to use this.

SyedYeah, if you don't fix it, like I can put like five examples of it already this season. So it's got to be something that is worked on. It's not an easy thing. Teams across the league have not found out this great way to do it. Brock Purdy threw a pick on this kind of same exact situation this week.

SyedSo, yeah, the second half offense overall, it really, really hurts to be in this kind of situation, blitzing specifically, run games specifically. I think defenses look at it and say, we're able to take advantage of these guys. Maybe it's as simple as shield as when you have Devontae Smith back and then I can come on here and say, well, the second half, it's just about players.
