Injuries or Season From Hell? Rams-Eagles Takeaways

KapadiaI don't mean to kill Sean Mannion. I understand it's four games in. It would be a great story if November comes around and we We laugh and we say, Sheil, you are killing Sean Mannion on October 4th. But look at him now. I would love nothing more than for that to be the case.

KapadiaBut my God, this is bad. This is really, really bad so far. So Darius Cooper, congratulations. Now, this is the least of their issues. But when Devontae Smith and Darius Cooper and Dontavian Wicks are all healthy, I don't know what Makai Lemon's snap count's going to look like. Makai Lemon today, three for 27 on six targets,

Kapadiaaveraging 9 yards per reception a long of 13 and listen part of this is you did draft Makai Lemon and Eli Stowers in the first two rounds I know it's hard for rookies to contribute right away it would be really helpful if those guys were contributing more right now when you're this banged up

HofmannI think you can look at the last two drafts and just think like alright this might be part of the reason they're struggling a little bit it doesn't seem to me like in fairness to Makai Lemon and Eli Stowers that this draft might not be great. I felt like a lot of people said that at the time.

HofmannAnd if you look at some of the rookies, it's not like a great rookie class. But yeah, I mean, that's how you sustain yourself as an NFL team is that you draft young players that especially at the top of the draft that hit and provide some juice and a little bit of youth and athleticism.

HofmannAnd yeah, I think it's definitely fair to say that the Eagles haven't gotten that yet. And can I also say one more thing too? Of course. Look, the conditions and everything were bad.

HofmannStafford made some horrible throws in this game. But Jalen Hurts right now, after two great games, is the quarterback of a team that cannot move the ball.
