KapadiaAnd most of those times you're gonna lose by more than four points here. So that's how I felt watching the game. That's not revisionist history. Again, I'm like you, I'm writing down the notes as I watch the game and I'm just like, man, if they win this, they are absolutely stealing this game.
KapadiaSo maybe in a way, you know, I know coaches always say like, all right, you can still teach off of a win where you have a lot to work on.
KapadiaBut when you lose two in a row, maybe there's more of a sense of urgency and more desperation that, no, what we're doing right now is really ugly and it's not working. And I get it. The injuries are a big part of it. There's no doubt about it. You went through them. But, man, I just did not feel like they were close to being the better team on the field today.
HofmannYeah, and that's concerning moving forward. Like, I think when you look at this first quarter of the season, like, it just has not been a lot of the Eagles are flat out better than the other team. They played two bad teams and they played two really close games against them. And they got destroyed the last two weeks by what we think are going to be pretty good teams.
HofmannSo, yeah, I agree with you. Like on the third and goal, I think they had a 96 % chance to win.
HofmannWhen you looked at the two teams, though, and frankly, who the Eagles had on defense at that time, too, you know, Jonathan Jones, Mac McWilliams, Jeremiah Trotter still out there. Again, some of these guys did good things in the game. I'm cheering for Jonathan Jones when he survives a Devontae Adams throw on third down and the Eagles are off the field.
HofmannBut you know that that's not probably going to be sustainable.
