- The Eagles' injury-depleted secondary probably can't keep getting stops against good offenses.
After cheering backups like Jonathan Jones for getting off the field against Davante Adams.

In context
HofmannYeah, and that's concerning moving forward. Like, I think when you look at this first quarter of the season, like, it just has not been a lot of the Eagles are flat out better than the other team. They played two bad teams and they played two really close games against them. And they got destroyed the last two weeks by what we think are going to be pretty good teams.
HofmannSo, yeah, I agree with you. Like on the third and goal, I think they had a 96 % chance to win.
HofmannWhen you looked at the two teams, though, and frankly, who the Eagles had on defense at that time, too, you know, Jonathan Jones, Mac McWilliams, Jeremiah Trotter still out there. Again, some of these guys did good things in the game. I'm cheering for Jonathan Jones when he survives a Devontae Adams throw on third down and the Eagles are off the field.
HofmannBut you know that that's not probably going to be sustainable.
HofmannSo, yeah, it's an issue. And I guess to kind of take it to the reason why they got outplayed so much, look, the defense, they ran out of gas at the end of the game.
HofmannI think, you know, giving up two very long touchdown drives, that first one, too, is tough. And I think people might look at the fourth down decision from Sirianni, which I thought was fine to me, just like the Phillies. It's the offense. It's the offense.
HofmannIt's the offense.
