BillI just wonder, 10 years ago, you could get away with Giannis and Bam as your two guys.

BillAnd you could put around some league average guys around them and probably win 50 games. I think the league's too deep now.

BillI don't think you can do it. I don't think you do with Booker and Phoenix either. I think everybody, the regular season, you need depth. You need a team that's almost built like how the Celtics or even the Thunder who've just lost four guys, withstood two massive injuries that we'll talk about in a second,

Billbut still have enough talent to at least be able to put basketball players out there. I don't know a team like this. I went over on them before the season because I thought defensively, I thought they'd be really good and they haven't been. And maybe that's how they get back in this. I think they're going to have to play bigger.

BillI think they're going to play Portis more. And in general, maybe bully ball this a little bit versus play the style that they used last year.

BillAnd I wouldn't bet against them figuring this out.

BillWith that said, this is as bad as it could get. They are minus 110 to make the playoffs on Fandle. So basically even odds. And when you think about how deep the East is and how Charlotte started out better than we thought, I think they're behind the eight ball already. So we'll see how this next two or three weeks goes.
