NBA Day One Reactions, Plus Blake Griffin and Peter Berg (Two Interviews!)

BillJalen has always been pretty good at it. And then Maxey's one of the best guys in the league at it. Edgecombe obviously wants to do that.

BillSimons, who I really liked when he was on the Celtics last year, and they dumped him for tax reasons. I don't know where the other contenders were for him because I think he's a legitimate third guard. But I thought he was good, too, coming off the bench. And, you know, Maxie, one of the 7, 8, 9, 10 best players in the league at this point.

BillSo, you know, this was a good night for the Sixers. I think they're going to be fun. I think they're going to be really up and down. I think there's going to be nights when you could feel it. There were some defensive lapses.

BillI think Embiid on defense sometimes just isn't going to move. I think they're going to get really hurt on rebounding, especially when they do those smaller lineups.

Billand we'll see how often everyone is happy. Like LeBron had 13 points tonight.

BillAnd if LeBron is, his stat line is going to be 13, 8, and 7 every game, it's probably the best for them. But I don't know if he's going to want that.

BillSo there's some stuff to sort out. And this is why he can't get excited about game one.
