In context
Kapadiai actually feel better about the actual team right now than i did 24 hours ago i don't know if that's a controversial thing to say or not but here are the reasons why this defense which i've been waiting on i thought played really well jalen carter man you let him use both of his hands and he can wreck a game now.
KapadiaWreck a game now for you. Yeah, he was incredible in the first half. Literally just ending series, time after time after that, time ending possession. So if you're getting that version of Jalen Carter now going forward, huge deal. That is an absolutely huge deal. Zach Vaughn, I thought, was terrific in this game.
KapadiaI think he started out the season on fire, then had the couple of games that weren't great, then had the injury. He looked incredible in this game. I thought Cooper DeGene, he gave up the one completion I remember that we can get to, but I thought he was flying around in this game.
KapadiaQuinion Mitchell had the interception. I thought it was a really encouraging defensive performance where now I can get to the headspace of, hey, if the offense can just be average, I actually think maybe there is a ceiling for this defense that wasn't apparent in the first four weeks of the season. And then the other aspect of it is I didn't think the offensive line was a disaster, you know, in pass protection specifically.
KapadiaThis wasn't like a game where you were saying they're playing four backups there. Jalen Hurts has no time to get rid of the football. This is a disaster. He's taking six sacks. It wasn't like that. And I think I'll give Hurts credit. I think he was getting rid of the ball. I think they knew what they were working with.
KapadiaBut, you know, four backup offensive linemen at one point, you can now talk yourself into, hey, if Saquon Barkley comes back, Devontae Smith comes back.
KapadiaI'm not saying it's going to be a great offense but can they get to a certain level of competency where it looks different than it's looked the first five weeks and you're in a division that stinks where no team won a game today even though two teams played each other like no one's going to run away with this thing that now you have a chance to buy time stay in it while you find yourself I feel better about that
