Billbecause of digger uh i've always loved this movie but it's 91 minutes you just go into pennsylvania and it's this whole world which was the same kind of thing that worked for friday night lights where it's like i don't know anything about texas i don't know anything about of high school football there.

BillAnd you just brought us in there. And it's weird that it's been 20 years now and no other show has been able to pull it off. And it's weird that that Tom Cruise, who did, I believe, a pretty extraordinary dance scene in a locker room. He did.

Played a little cornerback. Is the man and has the career that he has today.

BillI remember that I love the movie. Yeah. Loved how Tom Cruise committed. I saw Digger last week and I loved it. you loved it yeah I don't understand why there's a big turn with Digger coming people are shitting on it so much and yeah he's gonna get nominated for an Oscar possibly win one he's incredibly good in the film and I thought the film was really good and I'm not quite clear on why people are you know not reacting

Billto it you know what sometimes it's it's like in football game when they call it the spot like when you like a team it's like it's the spot they got killed last week sometimes movies are the same way yeah right like hancock which i think van was just talking about in the office i think a movie that's gained steam over the last 20 years but when it came out was considered disappointing yeah but now you look back and it's

Billa really interesting movie you know i think it is yeah and i think it was so far ahead of its time in terms of being like a subversive uh superhero and will smith is this alcoholic mess of a man who just destroys the cities stopping a drunk driver.

Um, and yeah, I mean, the challenge with Hancock is that the first, I don't know, 90 minutes was this just raucous drunk superhero and it was really fun. And then there was a turn that tried to kind of hit a very tricky, emotional sweet spot. And, um, I'm really proud of that film.
