NashI'm not
Lowesure.
LoweI'm glad you brought that up. Cause I have a few takes I would like to get off on this subject uh just let's set the lay of the land first cat has a 61 million dollar player option for next season his max if he opts out of that and signs a max and free agency is almost 70 million dollars a year average annual value i have said before that i think something like 50 to 55 a year per year
Lowenot starting and raising for that but per year seems like the kind of compromise that should be able to get things done, given Kat's age, his occasional limitations on defense and all that stuff, and what he's accomplished in his career. I don't think anyone's close to that, and I still think that is like a happy outcome for all sides that will get done.
LoweIt can keep the Knicks under the second apron or close to it for the next couple of seasons.
LoweOkay, thing number two.
LoweI think I can already tell by the Twitter reactions that fans, and maybe this is your point about Dolan, that there's a segment of Knicks fans who are mad at Cat for not sacrificing for the team the way Brunson famously did two years ago when he took an extension.
