BillI don't know why Dallas wouldn't keep him. I don't know what Dallas's game plan is.

BillI just have all questions and no answers with Kyrie Irving. Do you have any answers at all?

MahoneyI think the best thing we have, or the closest thing we have to an answer is that he's going to be really good. Like, I fully expect coming off of the ACL, Kyrie has the game, has the mechanics, has the efficiency of movement to come off of an injury like that, even at that age, and be a really formidable scorer, as we would expect.

MahoneyBut again, where he ends up, I'm with you that a lot of teams could talk themselves into it. And so forecasting Kyrie's season is basically impossible.

MahoneyI do think it will serve the Mavericks to trade him, though. And will probably serve Kyrie to move on, despite the fact that he's done very well there. It seems like his relationship with the franchise has been pretty strong overall for most of that time, you know, barring a Luka trade here or there.

MahoneyAnd so, but he's so useful in so many contexts. And, like, if you're a contender that's even close to the borderline, and these are two conferences where the East is going to be so dense in the middle, and the second tier in the West is going to be so competitive, I think one of those teams should absolutely talk themselves into trading for Kyrie.
