Haliburton on His Return, Preseason Thoughts, and Most Intriguing Players!

Haliburtondoes hit it's quick to an uphill dho or their guy stays in the paint to help, they corner cut. And if you don't hit them, then you have to skip every time. So I have no worries about it, especially because of Coach Carlisle and Coach Pierce and the basketball minds that they are.

HaliburtonAnd Zoo's buy -in has been amazing. And he's a really smart guy. I think that's what people take for granted is he's not a dummy. Like, he understands, hey, if I'm at the top of the key, I shouldn't just be floating here if there's action going over here. maybe we go set an away screen.

HaliburtonI go set a pin down. I get the catch and we go right in the backside.

HaliburtonLike he has a brain. He's a really smart player. So I feel like, you know, it's going to look great. And I think what it helps us with two screening, obviously that we talked about, which he's elite at, and then having another post presence, I believe Pascal is such an elite post player, but zoo is as well, you know?

HaliburtonSo, you know, if you could throw it to zoo and we're just, you know, we're in the middle of figuring out what our post spacing is exactly going to be. But for me, I tend to be the post entry pass to Pascal. I have over the past couple of years. I feel like I've gotten really good at being able to pull over in front if people want to help.

HaliburtonBecause I don't think that teams really want to dig or double off of me and have a rotating defender where I get to make the read on a rotating defender.

HaliburtonSo typically teams will rotate from whoever the other high guard is.
