Haliburton on His Return, Preseason Thoughts, and Most Intriguing Players!

LoweI could get back.

LoweAnother thing I had forgotten was how physical the matchup with Dort was. And I had even forgotten. Someone was like, you've got to rewatch the free throw when Dort throws him on the ground. I'm like, I don't even remember that. It was like, oh, yeah, he really threw your ass on the ground during a free throw.

LoweLike, here's Benedict Matherman who's shooting a free throw, and all of a sudden you're on the floor. I'm like, man. He was really like, every step off the ball, there's contact. He made it hard for you to get the ball. I mean, that must have taken something out of you. Yeah,

Haliburtonyeah, for sure. I mean, they have so many great on -ball defenders. I feel like, I mean, we're seeing it now. Case of all, he should be getting paid here soon.

HaliburtonAnother elite, elite on -ball defender.

HaliburtonCaruso's a guy I've battled for many, many years, obviously, with him being in Chicago. So I feel like what they had was the capability to throw multiple defenders at a lot of us, especially me. And I think Dagnall is obviously a great basketball mind, knowing that he can't allow me to just bring the ball up freely, especially at that time with the way I was playing.

HaliburtonSo I feel like they did a good job, you know, top to bottom defensively. I feel like we were doing a great job defensively too. Obviously Shea is who he is and Dub had a great series as well. So, you know, I feel like going into that series, people didn't expect much, but I think that when you look back on it, you'll, especially as time goes on, I think people realize how elite and how special basketball was being played
